Krishnanagar Ramakrishna Mission

SERVICE ACTIVITIES

SPIRITUAL  ACTIVITY (Prayer Hall)

Daily worship of Sri Ramakrishna, Prayers, Vedic chanting and Bhajans are performed in our Ashrama temple. Ramanama Sankirtanam is held after evening Arati on every Ekadashi days. On the birthdays of each direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna, excerpts from the disciple’s life and teachings are read in the temple after evening arati. Regular discourses and expositions on scriptures and deliberations on allied topics are conducted by monks and lay eminent scholars.
Spiritual Initiations: In the Ramakrishna Order, the unique tradition of direct spiritual initiation from the President or Vice-President Maharaj or some senior authorised Swami of the Order marks one's informal entry to spiritual life. You are required to have read sufficient literature of the Holy Trio, such as their life, teachings etc. before making enquiries for being initiated. Spiritual initiation usually takes place once or twice a year. Enquiries for the same may be made at the Ashrama office.
